We all know the new Toastmaster theme “Where Leaders Are Made.” Today’s keynote presentation will focus on how leaders are made. District One has invited its own Laura Jarnat, DTM, PDG, to help us transition from speaker to leader. Drawing on her 18 years as a communication and management trainer and tapping into the classic themes of The Wizard of Oz, Laura will show us how to identify and apply the principles of true leadership. You will discover your own leadership style and then learn the secrets of the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion in Laura’s presentation, “Brains, Heart,
and Courage: Putting Transformational Leadership to Work.”

Table Topic and International Speech Contests

Witness the top five Table Topic contestants in the District compete for the title of District ONE Table Topics Champion. Listen to top-notch speakers demonstrate their extemporaneous speaking skills by answering one simple question and delivering a 1-2 minute on-the-spot answer.

And, get ready to see the top five District ONE Toastmasters vying the title of District ONE Champion with a 5-7 minute inspirational speech and the opportunity to compete for the title of World Champion at the International Convention in Orlando, Florida.

Club Challenge

Win $25 in Toastmasters Gift Certificates

The club in each Division with the highest percentage of paid, full day attendees at the Conference will take home a $25 Toastmasters International Gift Certificate.

First Timer Challenge

The club in each Division with the highest percentage of first time, paid full day attendees at the Conference will take home a $25 Toastmasters International Gift Certificate.
