Educational Award Recognition
This is your time to shine as all who received an educational award since the previous Conference are publicly saluted.

DTM Ceremony
A beautiful candlelight ceremony will honor District One's newest DTMs (Distinguished Toastmasters) as past achievers recognize this very significant accomplishment.

Rick ChambersCommunication & Leadership Award
This signal honor goes to Rick Chambers, co-anchor of the KTLA Weekend News and Sunday Edition. Rick is a front line, Emmy Award winning reporter covering southern California’s biggest stories for more than 20 years.

Rick has anchored political conventions and interviewed presidential hopefuls, rubbed shoulders with celebrities and talked with the news makers of the day.

A Chicago boy who graduated from Southern Illinois University, Rick has been involved with scores of charitable organizations and hosted fund raisers and award ceremonies for many of them…including the Santa Clarita Valley where he calls home.

When not chasing stories Rick is an avid reader and lover of puzzles. Snow skiing and trap shooting are his sports of choice. He is married and the father of three children, which is why his hair turned gray years ago.

Evaluation and Humorous Speech Contests

Listen and learn great techniques for evaluating, in Toastmasters, business and life, as the best evaluators from the six Divisions in District One compete for the title of District One Evaluation Champion.

Laugh and applaud the six Division Humorous Speech Champs as they vie to be the funniest Toastmaster in District One.
